Blog #1-
Trying to reflect on what I do and my daily work it seems a bit selfish or presumptuous, cocky or overconfident to think of a few words that I feel, to me describes blogging.  Trying to catch up with the daily bloggers will be an impossible feat.  So to try would be futile.  What I will try to do is look at the humorous side of my job because I like to laugh, make people laugh and people make me laugh.  And I laugh at myself more than anyone else.  I don’t like to laugh at people but rather make them laugh.  I can be quick with a joke or change my speech quickly to make a boring History lesson at the very least a little bit more interesting.  Using humour,  helps break tension, it can make someone’s day, and I’ve heard it is healthy.  And if it takes more muscles to smile than to frown, I’ll enjoy the work out.  I see a lot of dedicated teachers take their job way too seriously. Not that the job is not serious. But it should not affect your health.  We all have stress and or stressors in our life. If we can meet that stress with a smile on our face or even laugh at the fact that we are letting something stress us out can only help alleviate what is stressing us out.  No?  I have always told my students that I don’t have time to get stressed or depressed because I am too busy counting all the blessings I have in my life.  And there is not enough time in the day/week/ month/ year to count them all.
